This album is available in two versions. The original version features humpback whale recordings generously supplied by The Oceania Project of Byron Bay, Australia. The “Quiet Seas Edition” is exactly the same music, but without whale sounds.
The Complete Collection includes these 2 tracks and is 40% cheaper than purchasing each individual track:
- The 60 minute version of Into the Deep
- The 60 minute version of Into the Deep – Quiet Seas Edition
This music is also available with brainwave entrainment frequencies. Click here to explore.

Composer’s Commentary
When people ask me what I do for a living and I tell them that I compose relaxation music, you would not believe how many of them respond with a very confused look and the words, “What? Like, whale music?”
From then on, I’m labelled “the whale music guy”, even though I’ve never created whale music before.
The truth is, I’ve kind of resisted making whale music up until now, partly because I didn’t want to sustain that silly label and be a cliché, but more so because it’s REALLY hard to get good quality whale sounds. If The Oceania Project hadn’t reached out to me and offered their whale sound recordings, then this music might have remained nothing more than a dream.
Thank the stars for their generosity, because I love the sound of whales and I love the way this music has turned out. There’s soul in it. There’s kindness and compassion. There’s real depth.
The atmosphere that this music invokes really touches my heart in just the right way. As a composer I’ve come to recognise this special feeling as the mark of a composition that has great healing potential.
And so I feel very blessed at this time, not just because of the Oceania Project’s generosity, but also because I know that this music will make its way into the creative works and healing centres of people like you, dear reader. It’s through you that my music makes the greatest difference in this world. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy that makes me.
Soon enough someone will ask me what I do for a living and when they ask “the whale music question” I’ll have to nod my head and say, yes – that’s me – I’m the whale music guy.
Big ol’ cliché and loving it.
Comments on the Quiet Seas Edition
As beautiful as they are to hear, I realise that some people will prefer to enjoy this music without the sound of whales “wailing” (please excuse the pun). For you, I have created a “Quiet Seas Edition”. These features the original music and the sound of ocean waves, but without any whale or dolphin sounds at all.
